Typically, you can expect non-premium e-bikes to last between 12 – 30 miles on a single charge and premium e-bikes to last between 30 – 60 miles. This will depend on the weight of the rider, how the bike gear system is used, the amount of pedal assistance used, the type of bike and the type of terrain (hilly vs. non-hilly). If you run out of battery, you will still be able to pedal. If you are using a bike for more than a day, we recommend charging the battery each night as it may take several hours to get to a full charge. We will show you how to remove and charge the battery during your orientation.

Follow all the Hawaii State Bike Laws, share the road, and obey common courtesy. This includes (but is not limited to):
- Do not ride on the sidewalks or areas where biking is marked as prohibited. You may ride on shared-use paths and on the roadway.
- Signal your intentions when making turns and ring your bell when passing other cyclists and pedestrians.
- Ride in a single file line when traveling with others.
- Ride on shared use paths when available. If you need to stop for a break, pull off so you do not obstruct the path.
- When protected bike paths are not present, ride on the shoulder of the road or to the far right of the roadway. Expect cars to pass on the left.
- Ride in the same direction as traffic.
- Stay alert and vigilant. Do not wear earbuds.
