Quick Details
On this full day (eight hours) self-guided tour, you will see a fascinating blend of influences covering Hawaiian history, the whaling era, the missionaries, and immigrant plantation life.
Lahaina’s History highlights:
• Baldwin Home Museum, the oldest standing building in Lahaina.
• Brick Palace, was built in 1798, the first Western-style building in Hawaii.
• Government Market, built by the government for Hawaiians to sell goods to the sailors.
• Hale Piula, a home built for King Kamahameha III.
• Waihee Cemetery, the resting site of Hawaiian chiefs, commoners, sailors, and missionaries and many more!
After exploring Lahaina, Launiupoko Beach Park is a great place to stop and take a break or hit the beach. There’s a small wading pool that is perfect for children, too! You can stop by the Living Earth Systems Farm Stand, right across the street from the beach park for some healthy eats.
If you like to challenge yourself continue down the highway for about 3 miles until you arrive at Olowalu. Stop for a sweet treat (or a full meal) at Leoda’s Kitchen and Pie Shop (open daily 10am – 6pm),or do some snorkeling and swimming at Olowalu beach.
While you are out exploring and enjoying your electric bike, you will also have ample time to stop by the widely popular Front Street shops. Here, you will find a mix of souvenir shops and art galleries to browse through. There are also several restaurants, so you can sample some local cuisines.
